Eligibility for On-Demand Examination

Students who have failed in the 10th or 12th grade exams conducted by CBSE/ICSE or any state board are eligible for the On-Demand Examination offered by NIOS. This flexible system allows students to take their exams earlier than scheduled whenever they feel prepared. If you’re a student with a failed mark sheet from the 10th or 12th grade, you can apply for the On-Demand Examination. You have the option to take this exam in any state across India. If you’re ready to take the exam sooner rather than later and want to avoid further delays, you can apply for NIOS On-Demand Admission now.

Where & When Nios On Demand Exam Conducts

Nios On-Demand exams are conducted in regional centers and Kendriya Vidyalayas across every state. These exams are scheduled during specific months each year. For example, you can choose to take exams in January, February and March (Block-2) 2024, or in June, July, August and September (Block-1) 2024.

You have the flexibility to select exam dates according to your preference. It’s important to note that Nios conducts public exams twice a year: once in March-April and again in September-October. If you pass the On-Demand exams held in June, July, August, or September 2024, you’ll receive a pass mark sheet for the March-April 2024 session. Similarly, if you take the exam in December, January, February, or March 2023-24, you’ll receive a pass mark sheet for the October 2023 session. Nios typically announces the results of On-Demand exams within 45 days.

TOC (Transfer of Credit) Facility in On-Demand Exam

If you’ve failed in certain subjects during your 10th or 12th classes from your previous board, you have the option to utilize the Transfer of Credit (TOC) facility. This allows you to transfer a maximum of two passed subjects from your previous board’s mark sheet. You’ll then need to appear for a minimum of three subjects in the On-Demand exam. Once you pass these exams, you’ll receive mark sheets for all subjects from the NIOS board.

nios pilot exam admission

Students who have completed their 10th or 12th classes but wish to enhance their academic qualifications by either revisiting old subjects or exploring new ones have the opportunity to sit for exams in up to a maximum of four subjects. Upon passing these exams, students will receive a mark sheet; however, no migration or transfer certificate will be provided.

For students who completed their 12th class without having studied math or physics, they have the option to take exams in these subjects separately. This is particularly beneficial for those aspiring to pursue careers in fields such as aviation for obtaining a pilot license, or for those planning to appear for exams like the DGCA or NDA (National Defence Academy), among others.
